As we continue to grow and expand our services, we're looking for a Director of Paid Social & Video to lead our paid social acquisition efforts and help us scale our customer and provider acquisition across both sides of the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
As a Director of Paid Social & Video, you'll own paid social acquisition for both sides of LawnStarter's marketplace — homeowners and service providers — across multiple markets and service categories while keeping spend profitable on each side.
- Own paid social strategy and execution: Full-stack ownership of acquisition campaigns for both homeowners and service providers across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Build and manage campaigns across the entire funnel: top-of-funnel to drive awareness and demand, mid-funnel to nurture consideration, bottom-funnel to convert, and remarketing to re-engage.
- Develop a repeatable framework for creative, audience, and funnel experiments to detect creative fatigue early and rotate before performance degrades.
- Actively manage spend by audience, geography, and service category, hitting performance targets while navigating seasonal swings.
- Work with SEO, Paid Acquisition, Product, Design, and Analytics to ensure paid social fits into a larger growth system, not an isolated silo.
- Build and lead a team as the channel scales, owning the channel end-to-end — executing directly at first, then building and leading a team.
- Manage budgets across geographies and seasons, and turn performance data into decisions.
- Design test plans and manage budgets to optimize campaign performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize funnel conversion.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in paid social and video advertising.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 5+ years of experience in paid social and video advertising, with a focus on acquisition and growth.
- Proven track record of success in managing and optimizing large-scale paid social campaigns.
- Strong understanding of paid social platforms, including Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Experience with full-funnel marketing, including awareness, consideration, and conversion campaigns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn performance data into decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and lead a team.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with video editing and production, with the ability to work with a video editor to create high-quality video content.
- Knowledge of SEO and paid acquisition principles, with the ability to work with these teams to ensure paid social fits into a larger growth system.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Google Analytics and Tableau.
- Strong understanding of the home services industry, with a focus on lawn care and outdoor services.
- Certifications in paid social and video advertising, such as Facebook Blueprint or Google Ads certifications.
