As a Licensed Civil Engineer on our Site Design team, you will play a crucial role in delivering multidisciplinary design services for mixed-use, commercial, and residential land development projects, along with industrial, sports, schools, and other site development types.

As a Licensed Civil Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from small to large-sized, and contribute to the development of planning and design documents, process design calculations, and project management duties. Core Responsibilities
- Perform project management duties on small to medium-sized projects, including preparing planning and design documents, processing design calculations, and coordinating with other Olsson teams, professional staff, technical staff, and clients.
- Assist with the preparation of project documents, including project scope, schedule, and budget, and apply knowledge and experience with standard techniques, methods, and procedures to assist with coordination of project design aspects.
- Perform process design calculations and analyze reports to prepare cost estimates and determine feasibility of projects, and evaluate and propose adaptations to standard methods and procedures for components of assignments.
- Communicate project development and progress with project managers and/or clients, and enter and maintain project information and client records in the firm’s project management system.
- Collaborate with other teams, including professional staff, technical staff, and clients, to deliver high-quality projects that meet the needs of our clients and the communities we serve.
- May supervise and provide technical guidance to less experienced staff, and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for the Site Design team.
- Travel to job sites for observation and attend client meetings as needed, and stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to continuously improve our services and solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders, and contribute to the growth and success of the company.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, and must be a registered Professional Engineer.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to contribute and work well on a team, and a passion for working collaboratively with others.
- Experience with Civil 3D, and knowledge of project scope, schedule, and budget, with the ability to apply knowledge and experience with standard techniques, methods, and procedures.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site design and development, and a strong understanding of industry trends and developments.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects that meet the needs of our clients and the communities we serve.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines, and a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
