This role is critical to our company's growth, as we partner with suppliers to implement a court case management system for Georgia's courts. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between our IT organization and business partners, analyzing business issues, defining requirements, and explaining complex data flows to a wide range of audiences.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring that our technology solutions meet the needs of our business partners and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include analyzing business issues, defining requirements, creating screen designs, and recommending automated system controls and protocols to solve organizational information issues.
- Analyze business issues and define requirements for multiple projects/applications
- Create screen designs, user story maps, and process flow diagrams to communicate business needs to technical teams
- Develop and maintain end-user documentation, including user guides, process flow charts, and training materials
- Deliver training to end-users and stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of new systems and technologies
- Participate in and facilitate customer meetings, project team meetings, and workshops to elicit business requirements and define project scope
- Utilize requirements elicitation techniques, such as facilitated sessions, interviews, and shadowing to gather business needs from customers, users, and stakeholders
- Develop, write, and communicate business and functional requirements to technical teams, ensuring that resulting business requirements are thorough and accurate
- Articulate data flow concepts, explain the purpose and impact of data movement, and answer questions from both technical experts and business users
- Create and maintain user stories in JIRA and screen designs in Lucidchart
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that business needs are being met by the systems being built, changed, enhanced, or purchased
Requirements & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, with a focus on IT project management and business analysis
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business issues and define requirements
- Experience with requirements elicitation techniques, such as facilitated sessions, interviews, and shadowing
- Strong understanding of data flow concepts and the ability to articulate complex data movement to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with project management tools, such as JIRA and Lucidchart
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working in a government technology or court administration environment
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and digital case management systems
- Certification in business analysis or project management, such as CBAP or PMP
- Experience with user acceptance testing and organizational change management
- Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL
